This stunning transformation took place in Calgary’s Scarboro neighborhood. Our clients—a young, active family of six—wanted to expand their home for more space and fully renovate both the exterior and interior to reflect a more modern lifestyle. The original 1980s home had strong mid-century modern influences, which they loved and wanted to preserve inside, while giving the exterior a clean, updated look.

We designed a bright and vibrant interior that balances mid-century warmth with modern touches. White walls keep the space feeling fresh and open, while maple flooring adds natural warmth. The kitchen was the heart of this home, and we focused heavily on its layout to suit the clients’ love of cooking. A peninsula with seating keeps the family connected without crowding the workspace.

To add personality, we introduced a baby blue geometric backsplash for a playful touch, paired with walnut cabinetry that honors the mid-century style. The result is a timeless yet lively home that perfectly reflects this family’s energy and love for togetherness.
