Strathcona Calgary – House Renovation
This main floor renovation in Calgary’s Strathcona community was all about creating a space that felt functional, fresh, and aligned with our clients’ personal style. The original layout was dated and inefficient, with a traditional design full of red and green tones that no longer suited the homeowners. They were drawn to mid-century modern elements, walnut finishes, and pops of blue. We reimagined the floor plan to improve flow throughout the main floor. The kitchen was extended for more storage, and the island was connected to the dining table to maximize seating and function. We relocated the fireplace—previously dividing the kitchen and living room—to an exterior wall, opening up the space and adding floating shelves for a modern touch.
A bold blue accent contrasts beautifully with warm walnut and soft neutrals, bringing personality to the clean, contemporary design. We also designed a fun and unique powder room, believing even the smallest spaces should leave a lasting impression. The result is a thoughtful, functional, and stylish space that truly reflects our clients’ lifestyle and taste.
